Summer vacations are just around the corner. It is a challenging task for the parents to engage their kids in this hot summer month. Here are some tips to keep your kid healthy during this summer and active during their vacation.



Tips for your kids to be healthy during summer

While summer should be fun, laughter and good times, keeping that summer fun going can happen by following some simple summer health tips for children. As temperatures rise, heat exhaustion becomes a concern.

  1. Bacteria thrive in warm and moist environment and so food poisoning and occurrence of diseases due to food infection is more during summer days. Hence avoid food from outside.

  3. Playing in the hot summer sun means lots of fluid losses, so avoid strenuous activity during peak sun hours.
  4. Never let children near the grill. Remember, it can remain very hot even after it is no longer being used.

  6. Prevent mosquito bites by keeping kids away from bodies of stagnant water.

  8. Encourage your children to increase intake of water.

  10. Give lemon juice, coconut water and other natural fluids to your children as they help in hydrating from within. They have lots of nutrition that your child?s body needs at this time.

  12. Make your child wear light weighted and loose fitting clothes preferably made of natural fibers.
